LEAGUE UPDATES
Congratulations to Don Thompson and Todd Berry for winning the Men’s Monday League. They beat Shane Kouba and Jason Cockle in a playoff to make it 6 league titles in a row. Ralph Keeler and Jeff Lickei beat Shawn Brannan and Brian Mohl in their playoff match to finish in 3rd place.
Ed Herring and Todd Brewer finished the Men’s Wednesday League regular season in 1st place. They will now play the 2nd place team of Calvin McWilliams and Joe Mangiamelli in the playoff. Brad McClatchey and Larry Welch finished in 3rd place and will play the 4th place team of Greg Page and Andy Kayhanfar in the playoff.
Congratulations to Calvin McWilliams for winning the Top Gun Award for the Men’s Wednesday League with 57 points. This is Calvin’s second time winning the Top Gun. Brett Hahn was the runner up with 51 points.
Would like to thank all the men who played in this year’s leagues. Season went by way too fast. Special thanks to Don Thompson and Tom Hill for their help in putting out the flag prizes each week. Already looking forward to next season and doing it all over again. Although the league is over the Men’s Wednesday league will start their Fall Fun League on Sep 26 at 5:00. This is open to anyone who has a league handicap.

We are happy to announce that starting Saturday Sep 1 we are introducing a new weekend TWILIGHT GOLF SPECIAL. Every Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 you pay for 9 holes of golf with cart and you can play the rest of the day. Fall is a beautiful time of the year to be outside and it doesn’t get any better with unlimited golf. So take advantage while you can and get you golf fix on. We all know what awaits us in a few months’ time…

The UNLIMITED GOLF special has returned. The $24.50 package includes all your golf, cart rental, a cold sandwich and chips and is available Mon – Fri. Our $29.50 package includes golf, cart rental, and a hot lunch from Fairways Restaurant and is only available on Fridays. Please note this golf does not include weekends or holidays and all golfers must stop playing at 4:00. This allow us time to get setup and ready for the evening leagues. This offer expires on Sep 30.

Come watch the Husker’s take on the Purdue Boilermakers this Saturday Sep 29 in Caddies Lounge. Kickoff is at 2:30 on the BTN. Enjoy Happy Hour rates during the game along with free jello or pudding shots every time the Huskers score a TD. We also have .50 cent elephant wings (minimum order of 6 – dine in only). SKY DIVERS JUMP AND GOLF OUTING FRIDAY OCT 5 AT 10:00
Weather permitting, the Sky Divers will jump onto the course Friday Oct 5 at 10:00 followed by an 18 hole scramble. Anyone wanting to jump and play please contact the pro shop. It’s not every day you get to jump from a perfectly good airplane and try and hit a bulls-eye on hole #5 followed by 18 holes of golf. If you have no plans, come
RIP GOLF TOURNAMENT SUNDAY OCT 17 STARTING AT 11:00
The R.I.P. Tournament has been scheduled for Sunday Oct 7. Tee times start at 11:00. This is a handicap based tournament so everyone has a chance at winning. If you do not have a handicap, please let us know in advance so we can establish a handicap for you. Cost is $25 for members and $50 for guest. Price includes golf, prizes and food. The sign-up sheet is located in the pro shop. Please sign up in advance to better assist us in planning this event.
ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET SATURDAY OCT 13
Please mark your calendar for this year’s annual Awards / Members Appreciation Banquet to be held on Saturday Oct 13. Social starts at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00 followed by the awards presentation. You don’t have to be a winner to attend. This is always a great evening and a great way to finish off the 2018 golf season.

The annual Lake Ridge Fall Arts and Crafts Show will be held this year on Thursday Nov 15 from 6:00 – 8:00. Wine tasting and appetizers will be provided.
